I believe I have identified this grave correctly as belonging to James Crutchfield. He was incorrectly identified as Joseph Horn. Joseph Horn is listed twice in findagrave and in the VA grave locator. Joseph Horn is in grave J-9798. Grave C-1453 more likely belongs to James H. Critchfield / Crutchfield, Co C 32nd Ohio, age 22 at enlistment July 29, 1861, veteran, who died in hospital at Rome, Ga., of disease, July 29, 1864. The death dates of the men whose graves lie on either side of C-1453 are in order, July 22, 29, and August 1, 4, 8, 11. The field hospital burial at Rome listed only first letter of first name, "J" and Co G 32nd Ohio; it does not list a full name.
