"George W. Coverdale, 76 years of age, well-known farmer residing in Lafayette township, died Sunday morning at 1:30 o'clock. Mr. Coverdale had been in poor health for some time and last Tuesday he suffered a stroke of paralysis which proved fatal. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Nine Mile church, Rev. Champlin officiating. Burial will be made in the Fogwell cemetery.
Besides the widow, 11 children survive, as follows: Mrs. Ellen Keller, Samuel Coverdale, and Mrs. Iona Bair, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Cora Plouges(sic), Mrs. Maude Genth, Curtis Coverdale, Clifford Coverdale and Howard Coverdale, Lafayette township; Miss Addie Coverdale, Cleveland, O,; Mrs. Olive Foulks, Yoder; Forest Coverdale, Wells county. One sister, Jane Bradbury, of Wayne twonship, also survives, together with 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren."
