Jesse Tatum Davis the 5th, was named, by his parents, Jesse "Warner" Davis and Iula Fullilove Davis, for his paternal grandfather, Confederate veteran, Jesse Tatum "Tate" Davis.

Young Jesse was directly descended from Jonathan Davis and his wife, Lucy "Polly" Eastin Davis, of Orange County, Virginia, and Wilkes County, Georgia. This Davis line would marry into some of the south's greatest families, including, Carroll, Talliafero, Cullman, Baldwin, Clarke, Douglas, Haralson and DeKalb.

Sweet angel, dearly loved, never forgotten, forever missed.

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
