Avalon
Chester Bilicke, 93, of Avalon, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born March 12, 1916, in Neffs, Ohio, to the late Stanley and Pelagia (Pearl) Ciesielski Bilicki.
He was a World War II veteran who served in the Army.
Chester worked as an administrator for the Highland Drive Veterans Hospital on Highland Drive. He was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in New Kensington.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Annelie Schaetzle Bilicke; son, Kevin Bilicke, of Pittsburgh; brother, Thaddeus (Tanya) Bilicki, of Jamestown, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Zdanowski, John Stanley and Raymond Bilicki and Henry Black; and a sister, Helen Lukomski.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, Lower Burrell, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9 a.m. Monday followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, New Kensington.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
