Nescopeck woman enjoyed flowers and baking
Pearl A.Zemany,91,of Nescopeck concluded her journey in this life at 8:45 p.m. Sunday,Nov. 2, 2008, in Berwick Retirement Village I.Pearl was born in Freeland on April 6, 1917, a daughter of the late Elmer and Alice Hawk Fairchild.She had been employed by the former Nescopeck Knitting Mills and later at the Berwick Knitting Mill until retiring. She also made pies for the former Ivey's Restaurant,Nescopeck.She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church,Nescopeck, and enjoyed gardening and flowers.She now joins her husband, Harold E. Zemany, who died March 2, 1983; daughter: Gloria F. Zemany, on Jan. 29, 2008,and one brother and three sisters also died previously.She will be remembered by a son, Larry Zemany, Rock Glen; three grandsons, two great-grandsons and one greatgranddaughter."Always in our hearts."She is entrusted to the care of the Heller Funeral Home,Nescopeck, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
with the Rev. Rodney Miller, her pastor, presiding. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rose Lawn Cemetery,Berwick.
