Bud was born on March 23, 1928 to Edwin (Eddie) R. Sr., and Ruth O. Alderson in Decatur. He retired from Fleener and Roberts Garage and worked part time for Ideal Auto. He served with the U.S. Navy.
He married Sharon Lee Rand on April 18, 1948 and were married 50 years when she passed away on September 8, 1998. He then married Frankie Rosetta Medley on September 30, 2000 in Decatur. He was a member of Hillside Bethel Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie; son David G. and daughter Debra L. Tully ; brother Alvin (Gene); five grandchildren; step-daughters, Rhonda Tucker, Linda Robinson, Judy Calaway, Carla Stewart; eight step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Sharon and step-daughter Phyllis Pipkin.
