Everett Archer, 84, a retired farmer, died Monday at his residence at Sistersville, RFD 2, following an extended illness.
He was born April 20, 1868, a son of Arthur and Sarah Woodburn Archer and was a member of the Methodist Church.
He was twice married, first on Aug 25, 1894, to Fannie Ice, and of that union two daughters and son survive; Mrs. Ona Wells, Sistersville, RFD 2; Mrs. Lucy Pierpoint, Middlebourne; and John Archer, Sistersville, RFD 2.
On Oct 23, 1905, he was married to Amanda Harmon Archer and of that union four daughters survive: Mrs. Wilma Pitzer, Wilmington, Del; Mrs. Nell L. Flesher, Beech Bottom, W. Va.; Mrs. Mabel Mitchell, Sistersville, ????????????? Archer, at home.
Also surviving are five brothers, Schuyler, Charley, Lyde, Jack and Blain Archer, all of Sistersville RFD 2; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Sawyers and Sellers funeral home at Middlebourne with the Rev. J. J. Johnson of Pennsboro officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood cemetery at Sistersville.
