Marjorie Cecelia Baxter, 74, of 97 Benham St., Torrington, died Monday (March 2, 2009) at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital She was the widow of Richard W Baxter. She was born in Canton, the daughter of the late Stanley and Cecelia (Novtka) Marhefki and graduate of Canton High School. She was an avid golfer and a fan of UCONN basketball. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Baxter of New Preston, and Doreen Stevens of Torrington. She is also survived by granddaughters Brandis Peterson of Portland ME and Shannan Carmichael of Monticello ME and a great granddaughter Anastasia Marjorie-Cecelia Baxter of Portland and was predeceased by a brother Edward Marhefki.
Graveside Services will be held in the Spring at Calvary Cemetery in Collinsville.
