OGDEN — Donald A. Wilde, 75, of Ogden, died Friday, Sept. 22,1989, in an Ogden Care Center following an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Spanish Fork, Utah, a son of Alonzo E. and Ruth Larsen Wilde.

He married Gladys Linnoard, they were later divorced. He married Fae G. Rose on Sept. 1, 1968 in Elko, Nev. He was a Vehicle Maintentance Officer at HAFB, retiring 1973.
He had lived most of his life in Ogden.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1935, and was stationed in China and Hawaii. During WW II he served as an Army Officer and following his discharge in the Army he served in the Army Reserves for 35 years. While employed at HAFB, he worked in the Azores for four years from 1969 to 1973.
He was a member of the LDS Church, Ogden 61st ward, where he was an Elder.
He was a memeber of the American-Legion Post #129 in Huntsville, and the Ogden Eagles, #2472.
He is survived by his wife of Ogden, two daughters, Mrs. Neil (Donna) Krause, Salem, Ore.; Mrs. Dale (Margaret) Dean, Seattle, Wash.; four stepchildren, Kenneth Max Rose, So. Ogden; Craig Rose, HAFB; Mrs. William (Kay) Thompson, Roy; Mrs. Kelly (Kathy) Goddard, Ogden; 19 .grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Sterling Wilde, Layton; Mrs. Wayne (Grace) Cornaby,. Pleasant Grove.
He was preceeded in death by a brother, Larsen Wilde.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Lindquist's and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop William Jacobsen of the Ogden 61st Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary, Tuesday from 12 to 12:45 p.m.
Interment Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
