CHETOPA - Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys McPherson who died yesterday in the Sunset Rest Home in Parsons, will be at 2 p.m. tommorrow (15 Dec. 1961) at the Miller Funeral Home. The Rev. James Lorensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake Creek Cemetery near Bartlett, KS.
Mrs. McPherson was born August 17, 1894, at Sherman, and for the past 60 years had lived in the Bartlett vicinity.
Her husband, Eldon McPherson, died in 1957.
Surviving are a son, Harold McPherson, Parsons; a daughter, Mrs. Elaine Armstrong, Madison; a brother, Luther Wiley, Chetopa; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Hahn, Pittsburg; Mrs. Mary Tullis, Bartlett, and Mrs. Iva Polk, Coffeyville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She belonged to the Bartlett Methodist Church.
Pallbearers at Gladys' funeral were: Marvin Cunningham, Verl Tullis, R. A. Tullis, Gilbert Luman, Arthur Barr, Milan Wiley.
