Willard Webster Myers was born on July 18, 1907, in Iredell, Bosque County, Texas. His parents were William Robert Myers and Georgia Connley Myers.

When he was approximately 29, Willard married 17-year-old Jessie Jewell "Jewell" Vinyard. The couple had six children--two sons and four daughters. Tragically, both sons died as infants.

Willard died on April 8, 1967, in Waco, McLennan County, Texas, at the age of 59 from colon cancer. He was buried in San Marcos Cemetery, San Marcos, Texas, a few feet away from the grave of his mother-in-law (and later his father-in-law) and from the graves of his two sons. Jewell died 38 years later and was buried beside him.
