Lewis C. Bidlack, 90, Defiance, Ohio, died Monday, March 23, 2009, at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center, Defiance.

He was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Defiance, the son of Frank J. and Mabel M. (Parker) Bidlack. In 1947, he married Elda C. Wichman, who died in 2007. He was a foreman at Zeller Corp. for 25 years, worked at Precision Products for four years and All Star Products for six years and was a janitor at The Crescent-News for 25 years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are a daughter, Beth Bergeon, Defiance; two sisters, Juanita (Donald) Badenhop of Defiance and Lillian Beiswenger, Defiance; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Richard and William R. Bidlack; a grandson, William "Bill" D. Bidlack; sister, Marian Deatrick; and a brother, Charles Bidlack.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Fred Duschl officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance County, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3360.
