Robert Lee Collum was the son of Major Lodrick Pope Collum and Mamie Birdell Prescott. Robert was raised in Windsor(rural) South Carolina. He became long haul truck driver for forty years. His first marriage was to Mildred Naomi New which yielded one son. A second marriage to Elizabeth Geneva Hook yielded six children,two died as infants.
