LEON W. HATCHER Leon a longtime resident of Clovis, California went to be with the Lord on Friday night, December 8, 2006 at the age of 85. He was born May 14, 1921, in Ada, Oklahoma. After moving to Fresno, Leon became a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3, working for American Paving then Gentz Construction until his retirement. Leon is preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters, Thomas, Raymond, Leroy, Henry, Julia Batey, Bertie Arms, Leila Mae Batey, Pauline Zenger, and Pearl Hatcher. Leon leaves behind Elsie, his wife of 39 years. He also leaves behind two children, son, Carroll "Chris" Hatcher, and daughter, Evelyn Morris; two stepchildren, John Ferreira, and Reinee Ferreira, all of the Fresno/Clovis area. He will also be missed by his four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and many friends.
