Thursa A. Barnum, 89, of Norwalk died Saturday at Norwalk Hospital.
Born in Port Chester, N.Y., on Jan. 25, 1911, she was the daughter of Allan R. and Thursa May Olsen Barnum. She was a retired teacher, having taught at the Center School, Ponus Ridge School and Greens Farms
Acade-my. A graduate of Connecticut College, she was a member of The Shore and Country Club and the Fairfield County Teachers Association.
She is survived by a brother, Allan R. Barnum Jr. of Norwalk, and two sisters, Mary Alice Merritt and Frances Jackson, both of Norwalk.
