Mrs. Lucinda (Johnson) Todd known to all as Lou Todd, died at the home of Mrs. Clara Nading in Windfall at 2:40 Monday afternoon, death ending an illness which started four years ago which developed heart trouble for which she had been treated in various hospitals and at home.
Mrs. Todd was a daughter of Isaac and Martha Johnson and was born at Maysville, Ky., December 22, 1868. She came to Tipton county when a girl of 10 years her parents locating on a farm near Tipton. October 12, 1899, she was united in marriage to Frank Todd, who at the time of his death 12 years ago was one of the county's prominent farmers and stock breeders. She and her husband resided on their farm just south of Windfall for a number of years and since his death the widow had to reside there, spending several of her Winters in California. A daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Todd, died in infancy and surviving relatives are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Bradburn of Sanger, Calif.; Mrs. Rena Stockdale of Fairmount, and Mrs. Martha Ponder of Frankfort; and a brother George I. Johnson of Sanger, Calif.
Mrs. Ponder has been at the Nading home in Windfall for some time assisting in the care of Mrs. Todd and Mrs. Stockdale had been visiting her frequently, both being at her bedside when the end came. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Windfall Christian church and interment will be at Fairview cemetery, Tipton, beside her husband.
