Sarah "Sally" (Ellis) Roberts was the daughter of Elnathan and Hannah (Allen) Ellis. She was the wife of Rev. Titus Roberts. They were married Forestville, New York in 1821. Rev. Roberts was a minister in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church and later was a Local Preacher. He died February 22, 1881. Sarah was the mother of Rev. Benjamin Titus Roberts. He was the Principal Founder of the Free Methodist Church.
