Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 10th at 11:30 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, for Alfred J. Crever, age 89, of Sartell, who died on Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be at Minnesota Veteran's Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call on Sunday between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Monday one hour prior to services at the church. Parish Prayers will be on Sunday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Al was born May 20th, 1914 in St. Joseph to Rupert and Caroline (Mertz) Crever. He married Hilda Hadrich on June 2, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Holdingford. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army Air Corps from 1942-1945. He owned and operated Crever Construction in Central Minnesota for over forty years, retiring in 1979. Al was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254, and East Side VFW Post 4847.
Al was a strong willed person, whose word was his bond, and someone who always could be counted on.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Florence Lahr, Eleanor Fasen, Ann Spohn, Lucille Witzman, Alma Koenig, Arthur Crever, Norbert Crever, and Loretta Prom.
Funeral arrangements are being made with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
