Mercy Hannah Jane Washburn Adams was born in Iowa, 1 Sept. 1845. ( To Dwight Washburn and Nancy Paulk) She was married to Solomon Adams in the year 1865 and to this union was born nine children - three boys and six girls.
Two children died in infancy. She has two brothers and seven children, 38 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
The two living brothers are Arthur and Elza Washburn of Hynes, Calif.
The children surviving are Nancy Jane Murphy of Longton, Kansas; Leovincy Ann Murphy of Neosho, MO., Mary E. Smith of Pittsburg, Kansas; Lillie A. Studyvin of Arcadia, Kansas; James Adams of Nowata, Okla.; Eliza Watson of Oswego, Kansas; Arthur A. Adams of LeMoore, Calif. Her husband passed away in 1887.
She was converted about 31 years ago and remained faithful. She passed away 15 May 1920 - age 74 year, 8 month, 14 days.
