Mrs. House Dies Near New Lisbon

Mrs. Susie House,77,wife of John House,died Sunday at her home,a mile north of New Lisbon following an extended illness. Mrs. House was born in New Lisbon and had lived in that community all her life.

Besides the husband;she is survived by two sisters,Mrs. Lawrence Schildthkecht of New Lisbon and Mrs. Daisy Clifford of Connersville and four brothers,Curtis Werking of New Castloe,Leonard Werking of Lockland,O.,Frank werking of Mt. Vernon,Ind.,and Ed Werking of Elwood.

The body is at the Main and Sons funeral home,where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening and where services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Oscar Werking officiating. Burial will be in the New Lisbon cemetery.

Research: She was born Oct. 20,1873 in New Lisbon,Henry County,IN a daughter of David Hollinger and Catherine Elizabeth (Swafford) Werking. She was married twice: 1st husband Fay Black on Sept. 15,1901 that ended in divorce,2nd John House on Sept. 11,1907. She had a daughter out-of-wedlock that died at the age of 5 weeks.
