She was born the daughter of the late Andrew and Grace Leithner on August 3, 1943.
Carol was very popular growing up in small town Ridgefield Park, NJ. She worked at the Melody Shop and loved music. She was the president of many fan clubs and had quite the collection of Rock-n-Roll albums, 45's and later CD's.
She married Bill Kubat and gave birth to a daughter Michelle on September 4, 1963. She and Bill later divorced, and Carol raised Michelle as a single parent until she married Fordyce W. Beggs and relocated to Ramsey, NJ. She later divorced Fordyce and pursued her career with the Agfa Corporation.
Carol was employed by Agfa Corporation for 21 years before retiring in 2000.
Upon her retirement Carol was a very dedicated and involved grandmother to her Grandson JW. She dedicated alot of time reading to him, and just having quality time together. She would have loved to have spent more time with her grandaughter Mackenzie, but was taken from us when Mackenzie was only 5 mos old. All of the hospital nurses told us that Mackenzie was the best medicine and to keep bringing her, but God must have had other plans as we lost her to Lung Cancer on October 29, 2009.
In addition to her love for music, Carol loved NASCAR, reading, and watching movies & sports.
Carol was the Beloved mother of Michelle Gannon-Gadoury and her husband, Todd of Narrowsburg, NY; cherished grandmother of James (JW), Alyssa and Mackenzie; loving aunt to Jason and Melissa Hartig; beloved extended family member and best of friends with JoAnn Snyder, Elsie Gannon, June Hardenbergh, Lester Quick, and Dan Jenkins; loving mother-in-law to the late James Gannon.
