John Jacob Russell (1754-1837) served in the same company as his brother, George Russell, a recognized DAR Patriot Private, 8th Class in Captain John Renold's 2nd Company, 2nd Battalion, Washington County Militia, during the Revolutionary War, (Militia Lists, Md.
