MRS. IRVING SPEED
EAST CORINTH-
Mrs. Irving (Addie M.) Speed, 80, died at her home March 10 after a long illness.

A resident of East Corinth for 53 years, she was born May 8, 1890, at Gouldsboro, the daughter of Emerson and Lorina Tracy Guptill.

She attended Coburn Classical Institute and later graduated from Castine Normal School in 1912. She married Irving Speed in 1916 and had taught school for a number of years in Bradford, Charleston and Corinth. She was a member of th East Corinth United Baptist Church, sering as organist for 25 years and as church treasurer for 30 years.

Surviving besides her husband are one son, Paul of South Portland, two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Isabelle) Greatorex and Miss Lorna Speed, both of East Corinth; seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Corinth United Baptist Church.
