John V. Kelly Sr served nine terms in the New Jersey Assembly he served from 1981-1983 then again from 1985-2002. Mr. Kelly was Mayor of Nutley, NJ from 1988-1992 and Police Commissioner from 1988-1996. Mr Kelly in 1988 was the top vote getter in a Nutley Commission Election ever. John was a World War II veteran,he was long time President of Nutley Saving & Loan, he leaves his beloved wife Betty, four children, and grandchildren.
