OBITUARY
"Funeral for John Kendall Forsberg of Forest Grove was Thursday in Fuiten-Rose Mortuary Chapel in Forest Grove. He died of heart failure Saturday in a Portland hospital. He was 60.
Mr. Forsberg was born in Portland and had lived in Forest Grove since he was 14.
He attended Pacific University for one year before joining the National Guard. He worked as a diesel mechanic in logging camps, in Portland shops and in heavy construction. After his retirement in 1976, he raised Christmas trees on his farm.
He was a member of Hillside Bible Church and the Christmas Tree Association.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; son, Eric of Forest Grove; daughters, Karen Dooley of Florence, Diane Hoeft of Snohomish, Wash., sister, Mary Smith of Indianapolis; and nine grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the John K. Forsberg Memorial Fund, in care of Hillside Bible Church, Route 1, Box 334D, Forest Grove 97116.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Forest Grove."
