ROXIE M. LYONS
Roxie Mary Lyons, 90, Metz, died Friday morning, Feb. 13, 1987, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Scott, Kan., after an illness of several months.
Born September 8, 1896, in Metz, she was the daughter of Delbert Forrest and Stella Mae (Rynard) Cary. She was married September 19, 1917, in Warrensburg to Paul S. Lyons. He died January 21, 1979. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon County and the Metz area and was a member of the Metz Christian Church. She was a tax collector in Metz for several years.
Survivors include: two sons, Homer Lyons, Fort Scott, Kan., and Howard Lyons, Horton; one daughter, Madge Baze, Metz; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sunday, Feb 15, 1987, at Ferry Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating. Interment was in Balltown Cemetery, Horton.
