Mrs. Ethel Sills, 83, Metz, died Tuesday, April 16, 1974 at the Nevada City Hospital.
She was born June 25, 1890, at Devon, Kan., the daughter of James and Clara Redden Isaacs. She was married to Douglas Sills, June 4, 1935.
She was a member of the Baptist Church, and a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge. She had resided in Metz four years where she had moved from Enid, Okla.
She is survived by a son, Eugene Palmer, Whittier, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Homer (Clara) Lyons, rural Rich Hill; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Friday at Booth Funeral Chapel, Rich Hill, with the Rev. John Nichols officiating.
Music was provided by Doug Reed, soloist, singing "Precious Lord" and "Beyond the Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Homer [Howard] Lyons, organist.
Interment was in Balltown Cemetery, Horton, under the direction of Booth Funeral Services.
