Grace was baptized September 9, 1920 at her parents' home. She attended Zion Lutheran School at Wanda, Adams County, Nebraska and was confirmed April 9, 1933 at Zion Lutheran. As a teenager she left home to work for Louie & Cynthia Essinger in Holstein, Nebraska where she met her future husband. On Feb 22, 1941 Grace was united in marriage to Ben Pittz.
Grace and Ben lived in Holstein, Nebraska where Ben owned and operated Pittz Service. Grace stayed at home to raise their two daughters. She enjoyed baking, canning and gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was active in the Dorcas Society at St Paul Lutheran Church, of Holstein, Nebraska. Her husband, Ben, died in 1986 and Grace moved to Hastings in 1989. She became a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she enjoyed participating in Wednesday morning Bible Study. She lived in her own home until moving to Homestead Assisted Living in 2005. The last year of her life was spent at Perkins Pavilion at Good Samaritan Village - Hastings Village.
Grace is survived daughters, Gloria Karr of Hastings, Nebraska and Vivian Brinkmeyer of Lincoln, Nebraska; Sisters Lorraine Pittz of Grand Island, Nebraska; Fern Pittz of Holstein, Nebraska and Sister-in-law Neola Einspahr of Hastings, Nebraska and a host of friends and relatives.
Grace was welcomed into The Heavenly Home by husband, Ben Pittz; parents, Christian and Louise Einspahr; brother, Everett Einspahr, Palmer Einspahr, Victor Einspahr, Orville Einspahr and Olinda Berndt, Naoma VanBoening.
