Bernice P. Vice, 85, of Falls City, NE died May 28, 2006 at Falls City. She was born on October 18, 1920 at Barada, NE to the late Everett and Stella (Mount) Rowell.
She was married to Claron D. Vice on January 23, 1937 at Falls City. He passed away on June 21, 1998.
Bernice was raised at Barada and when the couple married they established their home in the Barada area. They farmed for several years in Barada and Shubert, NE areas. They moved to Falls City in 1978, she then moved to Shubert in 1999 and back to Falls City in 2004.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Pickett and husband Robert of Galveston, TX, Joanne Shafer and husband Max W. of Shubert, NE, sister, Dolly Bridgmon of Tucson, AZ, six Grandchildren, twenty-one Great-Grandchildren and eleven Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, a granddaughter, ten brothers and six sisters.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Shubert Christian Church with Pastor Lesa Eichenberger officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery at Barada. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 29, 2006 from 7:00-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
