Widower of Miriam Scarborough, his wife of 68 years, he was survived by one brother, Rufus Eugene Walker; his children, Beth Rohrer, Karen Walker, James Walker (Terri) and Joe Walker (Ouida); eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. His professional career included 22 years as controller for Square G Contracting of Leesburg, FL. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg, FL, where he held various leadership roles including serving as a deacon and church treasurer. His funeral was held the church on October 30, 2009.
