WEATHERFORD - Henry Springfield, a longtime resident of Weatherford, died Sunday in a Weatherford hospital. He was 78.

Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. today at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford, where he was a member.

Graveside service will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Mount Olive Cemetery in Big Spring.

White's Funeral Home of Weatherford is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Springfield was born in Parker County.

He had lived in Vincent, near Big Spring, before moving to Weatherford in 1954. He was a farmer and former employee of General Dynamics and Weatherford College.

Survivors: Wife, Mirl Springfield of Weatherford; son, Jerris Springfield of New Braunfels; two daughters, Vonna Mae Cope of Midland and Terea Lusk of Mineral Wells; brother, Audie Springfield of Colorado City; sister, Opal Phillips of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
