Dorothy Rosenoff, daughter of Casper and Katharina, nee Peppler, was born in Hussenbach, Russia, on 25 August 1866 [or 1867]. There she was baptized, received her Christian instruction in the village school and in the parental home, and was confirmed. At age 19 she married Fred Rosenoff. This marriage was blessed with 13 children, nine daughters and four sons, seven of whom, three sons and four daughters, preceded the mother into eternity. In 1901 the Rosenoff family emigrated from Russia and went to Canada. A year later they came to the United States. The lived a short time in Brush, Colorado, from whence they moved to Ft. Collins in 1903. Here they farmed until 1917, when they made their home in Fort Collins. Since the death of her husband she has lived alone in her home. She enjoyed good health until four days before her death, when she suffered a stroke, which led to her death. She departed on Palm Sunday Eve at an age of 85 year, 7 months, and 11 days. All the years in Fort Collins she was a loyal member of the German Church, also attended zealously church services and meetings. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid since it was founded. May the Lord console all who mourn her departure.
