June V. Farina, 81, of Blairsville, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana. She was born Feb. 29, 1928 in Thompsontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Milson and Catherine (Turnbull) Windows. She was retired from Torrance State Hospital, where she was employed as a nurse's aide. Survivors include four sisters, Joanne Cribbs and husband Rich, Blairsville, Imogene Hoak and husband Larry, Apollo, Mary Louise Windows, Homer City, and Dorothy Baer and husband Joseph, Brevard, N.C.; two brothers, Thomas Windows and wife Ellen, Caton, N.Y., and Ronald Windows and wife Donna, Canton, Ohio; two step-daughters, Linda Korsmeyer and Lisa Osborne, both of California; and two grandsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond G. Farina, in 2002; and brothers Gordon, Richard and William Windows. In keeping with June's wishes, visitation and services were private. James F. Ferguson Funeral Home of Blairsville handled the arrangements. Interment was in the Blairsville Cemetery.
