Emma Octava Anderson, a longtime resident of Delta and Olathe, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1983, at the Bethesda Care Center in Delta. She was 97.
She was born Emma Octava Lanier Feb. 16, 1886, at Oak Bower, Ark.
She married John William Anderson Sept. 18, 1904, at Amy, Texas. Mr. Anderson died in January 1955, in Olathe.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Church of Christ in Delta and Olathe.
One daughter, Lorene Wiebe, and one son, Leonard, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Velma Head of Granite Shoals, Texas, and Lois Green of Grand Junction; four sons, Lloyd of Oak Dale, Calif., Morris of Sandy, Utah, and Horrace and Robert, both of Delta; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
