Barbara J. Bennett, of Terrell, passed away October 21, 2009. Barbara was born August 5, 1942 in Kaufman County, Texas to Jesse T. Monk and Annie Adelle Hair Monk, both of whom preceded her in death. Barbara was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shanna Fridkis, brother, Fred Monk and sister, Mary Lynn Smotherman. Barbara graduated from Terrell High School in 1960 and was a charter member and actively involved at Victory Baptist Church in Terrell. She owned B.J.'s Food and Fuel for many years and was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and friend. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jerry Bennett of Terrell; daughter, Robin Wilhite and husband, Donald, of Terrell; son, Joel T. Kimbrough and Becky Pricer of Terrell; step-children: Dale Bennett and wife, Karen, of Terrell; Tammy Hoggatt and husband, Chuck, of Allen; Denise Roady of Garland; Ken Bennett of Terrell; grandchildren: Ben Fridkis, Rachael Fridkis, Allison Macie Wilhite and Zachary Aaron Wilhite; sister, JoAnn Robertson and husband, Billy, of Kaufman; nephew, Stephen Robertson as well as many other extended family and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly. Funeral service will be at 10:00am, Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Victory Baptist Church with interment to follow at College Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Friday, October 23, 2009 at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barbara's name may be made to Feed the Children, P.O.
