Martha A. Houser Warren was born October 30, 1843, in Fulton County, Pa., and died at her home southeast of Henderson, February 25, 1908, aged 64 years, 3 months and 25 days.
She was united in marriage to James Warren on April 14, 1869, in Stark county, Illinois. To them were born 5 children, 2 daughters, Mrs. Grace E. Wilkinson and Mrs. Nettie B. Babbitt, and 3 sons, Lewis, Bert and John, all who live to mourn her loss, also 2 brothers and 1 sister.
She with her husband and family moved to Iowa in 1883 and settled on a farm 6 miles southeast of Henderson where she lived in contentment until her husband's death March 13, 1901, then moved to Henderson where she has resided 5 years. She removed to her farm and lived with her daughter Mrs. Nettie B. Babbitt until her death.
She had been in poor health for several years and when a few weeks ago she began to fail and grew rapidly worse until she quietly passed away.
A short service was held at the home Thursday, February 27, 1908, by Rev. Jones of Wales, Iowa, after which they proceeded to the M. E. Church at Henderson. Services there were conducted by Rev. Hayes, pastor of the M.E. Church, assisted by Rev. Miller, pastor of the Christian Church, after which the remains were laid in the Henderson cemetery by the side of her husband.

Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Babbitt, south of Henderson on Tuesday. She was a resident for a number of years past at Henderson. She had been in poor health for a several years and death resulted from pneumonia.

Mrs. Martha A. Warren, whose death occurred 25 Feb., was born 30 October 1943 in Fulton County, Pa., and had lived in or near Henderson since 1883. Her husband died in 1901. She is survived by 3 sons - Lewis, Bert, and John, and 2 daughters - Mrs. Grace Wilkinson and Mrs. Nettie Babbitt. She was highly respected as a noble Christian woman.
