Mrs. Robert Brown, who had been a patient at the Butler hospital the past couple of weeks, passed away there at 6:10 o'clock Wednesday evening, February 22. Mrs. Brown had been in poor and failing health for several years suffering with cancer. Her condition had been serious the past several days.

Isa Dee, daughter of the late Delbert F. and Stella Rynard Cary, was born east of Metz September 22, 1903, and at her death was aged 68 years and 3 months. Her entire life was lived in this community.

On February 15, 1922, she was united in marriage at Nevada to Robert H. Brown. To this union was born 3 sons and 2 daughters.

Surviving are the husband; the 2 daughters, Mrs. Roberta Dolinger of Liberty and Mrs. Hazel Bennett of San Jose, Calif.; one brother, Joe Cary of Kansas City and one sister, Mrs. Roxie Lyons of Metz; also 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were the 3 sons--Forest Leonard, Herbert Louis and Donald Ray.

Deceased was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and funeral services were held there at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. Elmer Josephson, a former pastor but now of Wichita, Kan., officiated. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.

Mrs. Martha Moreland and Mrs. Lora Stevener sang, "The Old Rugged Cross," "Good Night Here, Good Morning Up There" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand." Mrs. Bonnie Vogt accompanied.

Pallbearers were Homer Lyons, Howard Lyons, Dryden Baze, Earl Kennedy, Henry Barker and Leslie Warrington.
