He was born February 6, 1987 in Bolingbrook, IL to Sheryll and Jeffery Pearson. He attended Bernard J. Ward Middle School and graduated from Bolingbrook High School. Michael served in the United States Army Engineer Corps since September 25, 2008, and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX.
Michael lived in Bolingbrook. As a child he was full of laughter and curiosity. At an early age his father, Jeffery, started teaching Michael how to play the guitar. Michael was heavily immersed into his art and music growing up, and also participated in martial arts as a hobby since he was a child. Michael began teaching guitar to many of his friends. Michael was an inspirational role model and mentor to his many nieces and nephews. Michael had a zest for life and found a friend in everyone he met. A true patriot, who loved people and people loved him.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Sheryll and Jeffery of Bolingbrook; devoted brother of Jason of Georgia, Kristopher of Plainfield and Julie of Wisconsin; cherished uncle of Trent, George, Arianna, Triztan, Angelina, Gabriel, Dylan, Amanda, Nicholas, Isabella and Noah; numerous cousins and dear friends also survive.
Funeral Services for Pfc. Michael S. Pearson will be Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Full military graveside honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Michael's name to a music scholarship which will be established at a later date. Visitation Friday, November 13, 2009 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of services at:
