Death Notice

At the Pennsylvania Hospital, with an attack of Diarrhea, on the 12th ult., Mrs. MARY ANN GILMAN, wife of Jacob Gilman, of New London township, Chester county, Pa., aged 38 years. The subject of this notice was born on the 16th of April, 1814, at Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia county, Pa. She professed conversion and united with the German Reformed Church, in Germantown, about the year 1839. She became deranged in mind the first week in November, 1851, and was soon after removed to the Pennsylvania Hospital, where she expired. She led an honest and exemplary life, and was much esteemed by her neighbors, and all that knew her. By her death, aged parents, husband, and five small children are deprived of their main dependence. Her funeral obsequies were performed on Sabbath-day, February 15th, in the Christian Chapel at Mount Olivet, Pa., where an appropriate discourse was preached to the numerous assemblage, by the Rev. Charles Henry Plummer, V.D.M....
