Johann Heinrich TROUT was born near the headwaters of Fort Run west of Timberville, Rockingham, Virginia, the son of Casper TROUT (1762-1837) and Anna Maria AMENT (1767-1849). When Henry was about 16, the family moved from Rockingham County, VA to Muskingham County, OH, specifically locating in Section 13, Bearfield Twp in what was to become Perry County only one year later on 26 Dec 1817. In 1818, his parents moved one last time, locating just outside of Deavertown on Ogg Creek, Section 36, York Twp, Morgan County, OH.
Henry married Abbagal MOORE 25 Dec 1833 in Hocking County, Ohio. She was the daughter on Henry MOORE, a local grist mill operator. Four children were born to this union, Jane B. 28 Aug 1834; Samuel E. 28 May 1837; George Washington 25 Dec 1838; and Julia B. 30 Jun 1841. Henry died at about 31 years of age circa 1841 of the "milk sickness."
Henry's exact place of death and burial has not been confirmed, but most likely occurred in Deerfield Twp, Morgan, OH. Research continues.
