Patricia Anne Marsh, 71, of Memphis, Missouri, died December 17, 2006 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri.

Patty was born July 15, 1935 at Bloomfield, Iowa, to Vinton Otto and Agnes Irene Stookesberry Shoesmith. She was a graduate of Guthrie Center High School, Guthrie Center, Iowa. Patty worked as a nurse's aide at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa. She married Lloyd Junior Marsh December 15, 1962 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, Iowa. To this union a daughter and two sons were born. Lloyd preceded her in death on April 10, 1999.

Patty was a meat wrapper at the Memphis Locker which she and her husband operated for over 25 years. They closed the business in 1998.

Patty was a member of the Memphis United Methodist Church and Mary Circle. She was a past member of the Memphis Rebekah Lodge #632.

Survivors include her daughter: Debra Ann Ward and husband, Randy, of Memphis, Missouri; two sons: Bill Marsh and his wife, Tamela, of Athens, Georgia and Jim Marsh and his wife, Jeannie, of Kirksville, Missouri; six grandchildren: Kelly Ward and his wife, Angie, of Memphis, Missouri; Denny Ward and Corry Ward of Memphis, Missouri; Troy Hunter Marsh of Athens, Georgia; Kendal Marsh and Allison Marsh of Kirksville, Missouri and a great-granddaughter, Victoria Faith Ward. Also surviving are three brothers; Merle Shoesmith of Valley Mills, Texas; Teddy Shoesmith of Guthrie Center, Iowa and Wayne Shoesmith of Carroll, Iowa and three sisters: Dorothy Raney of Montrose, Colorado; Wilma Rosenburg of Nevada, Iowa and Wavah Stetzel of Adair, Iowa.

Funeral services were held December 20 at the Memphis Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Music was provided by Connie Courtney. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Mike Ahland, Wayne Bulen, Phil Duley, Larry Riney, Mike Slaughter and Ray Ward. Honorary bearers were David Reed, John Stookesberry, Paul Clatt, Bill Dalton and Shirley Tucker.
