FORMER METZ MAN RITES HELD

Services were held this afternoon at the Metz Christian church for Junior J. Baze, 49, of Kansas City who died Friday at the Research Medical Center there after a long illness. The Rev. Charles Rhodes officiated. Interment was in the Newton Burial Park in Nevada, under the direction of Booth funeral home, Rich Hill.

Pallbearers included Murle Alexander, Homer Lyons, Walter Steel, Bill Breneman, Loren Wilson and Lewis Wilson.

He was born September 2, 1920, in Metz, the son of William J. and Minnie Vaughn Baze. He married Dorothy Walrob [Walrod] on March 27, 1945 at Olathe, Kan., who survives of the home. He was a member of the Metz Christian church. He lived in Kansas City 28 years; moving there from Metz.

Other survivors include one son, Harley Baze of Independence; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lee Ingram of Kansas City; one sister, Mrs. Dona Lisles [Liles] of Kansas City; and three grandchildren.
