Philip "Red" Hollingsworth, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009.

Mr. Hollingsworth was born April 14, 1935, in Flagstaff, the son of Phil and Ruby Mangum Hollingsworth. Mr. Hollingsworth served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a mechanic all of his life and enjoyed hunting with his sons, reading and watching the "Lawrence Welk Show" on television.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roene; sons Frank, Terry and Steven, all of Flagstaff; brothers Tom (Darlene) of Cedar Hills, Utah, and John (Pat) of Vancouver, Wash.; sisters Colleen Tennant of Mesa, Patricia (Merrill) Hammon of San Antonio, Texas, and Mildred (Van) Layman of Auburn, Wash.; two aunts; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his older sister, Jenny Brogk, and both his parents.

A service will be Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Linda Vista Chapel, 2401 E. Linda Vista Drive. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will conclude the service with military honors at Citizens Cemetery, Veteran Section.
