Funeral Thursday
North Rose – Mrs. Cora Powell, 62, died at her home of a heart attack yesterday.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Luther Powell, three sons, Clarence and Eugene of North Rose and Edgar of South Sodus; six daughter. Mrs. Esther Hixon and Miss Vera Powell of north Rose. Mrs. Virginia Morton of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Laura Roberts of Wolcott. Mrs. Blanch Yonkers of Rose. Mrs. Mable Anstee of Clyde. 18 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, a half sister and a half brother, all of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Powell had attended church services Sunday evening and had prepared the family breakfast yesterday and had sent her son Eugene to Syracuse for pre-induction physical.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Sunny Side Mission with the Rev. Frank Derr officiating. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery.
