Freda Pearl Wright (96) passed away November 5, 2009. She was born at a farm house near Potlatch, Idaho on August 22, 1913 to Reuben and Mary Lynd.

Freda attended her first eight years of school at West Cove School near Palouse, WA. and graduated from Palouse High School in 1931. She was the last surviving member of that class.

She married Alex Wright of Farmington, WA on March 17, 1934; and they made Farmington their home until they moved to Kellogg in 1937.

After one year they moved to the Fourth of July Canyon area where they built a Rock House. Alex retired in 1970 and they spent several winters at the Fountain of Youth Spa near Niland, CA.

In 1972 they sold their home and moved to Kellogg where their daughter, Necia, joined them in 1989 to help care for her father who later passed away in 1991.

Freda and her daughter Necia moved to Good Samaritan Village in 2001. Freda was a member of the Greenacres Baptist Church, and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Shoshone Chapter in Wallace, ID.

Freda is survived by her daughter, Necia Wright, at the home; one son, Harold Wright in Veradale, WA., daughter-in- law Barbara Copely of Brigham City, Utah; two brothers; Frank and Bula Lynd, of Troy, ID., and Joseph Lynd of Palouse, WA., grandson, Alan and Jolin Wright of Brigham City, UT., granddaughter, Kathleen and Wayne Reese of Benson, Utah.; nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Katherine Wright and Ruth Palmer, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Wright; one son Dr. Charles Wright; four brothers, Elmer Lynd, William Lynd, Robert Lynd, and Ray Lynd (11 day old infant), and sister-in-law, Joyce Lynd.

Memorial donations may be made in Freda's memory to the Shriners Hospital, Union Gospel Mission, The Salvation Army or to the choice of the donor.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Greenacres Baptist Church, 18620 E. Sprague Ave., Greenacres, WA with Pastor Scott Creach officiating. Interment will be in Shoshone Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hazen And Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, Wa.
