---Ester (Miller) Burke, age 94, of Santa Barbara, California, passed away Friday (Feb. 18, 2000), at the Santa Barbara Nursing Home.
---Born August 23, 1906, in La Plata, Missouri, she was the daughter of Daniel and Cassie (Burch) Miller. On February 12, 1924, in La Plata, Missouri, she married Roy Beall, who preceded her in death.
---Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Rex and Stanley Beall; and one sister, Ruth.
---Surviving are one son, Howard Beall of Crown Point, Indiana; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
---Ester was a 1924 graduate of the La Plata High School.
---Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday (February 25, 2000), at the La Plata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri. Officiating will be the Reverend James Wainwright.
---Services are under the direction of Travis Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Missouri.
