Came to Morgan County, Missouri with parents in 1845.

Served as a private in Co. A, Benton County Home Guards (German Regiment) in 1861.

Married to Catharine Margaret Fitschen in 1863, Maria Anna LaFrenz in 1879, and Sophia (Yost) Hampe in 1895.

Stones shown are in a square family plot, and the larger one was apparently to identify him as the family patriarch.
