Terrell Tribune, April 18, 1946, Thursday "Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Adonia Moore, long time resident of Forney, Texas, who died at her home in the Markout community Wednesday afternoon will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mrs. Moore was the widow of the late W. A. Moore, Sr., who preceded her in death. The services will be held at the First Methodist Church at Forney with Anderson-Clayton Bros. fineral home in charge of the arrangements and Rev. F. A. Ray conducting the service. Interment will be made in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jim Pinson, Frank Tillery, Guyton McKellar, W.G.Anderson, Henry Davis and O.W.Reagin. Mrs. Moore was a native Texan, born in Forney May 10, 1871. Surviving her are her son, W. A. Moore,Jr. of Forney, one brother B.F. Williams of Texarkana and one sister Mrs. Minnie Newburg of Woodsboro, Texas. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for more than 50 years."
