John Robert Fitch, 82, of St. Albans died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, in CAMC, General Division, after a long illness. He was a retired operator from DuPont Corp. with 38 years of service, a lifelong resident of St. Albans and an Army veteran of World War II, serving as staff sergeant of the 45th Division. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, St. Albans, past patron of Eastern Star St. Albans Chapter 79, a past Royal Patron Ameranth, St. Albans, past watchman shepherd of the White Shrine, and a member of Beni Kedem Shrine, the Beni Kedem Gold Band, Washington Lodge 58 AF&AM, St. Albans, and Scottish Rite Bodies He was preceded in death by wife, June Fitch. Surviving: sons, John C. of Sterling, Va., Robert H. of St. Albans; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter
