Joseph Hodges retired in 1977 from Aberdeen Proving Ground were he was a Proof Technician Leader. He was Navy Veteran of WWII serving on the USS Alabama. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. A loving husband and father, who loved fishing, crabbing, yard work, and telling stories. He was a hard worker who selflessly helped others.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Jane (Curry) Hodges; a son Michael Hodges and his wife Sharon; two daughters Nancy Sohl and her husband Chuck, and Phyllis Hodges; three grandchildren Amy Hodges, Justin Hodges and his fiance Jen, and Eric Sohl and his wife Heather; one great grandson Aiden Sohl. In addition to his parents he was predeaced by two brothers Frank and Walter Hodges; three sisters Helen Young, Virginia Andrews, and Zora Mason; and his great grandaughter Ava Sohl.
